Five more Ukrainian children and their families were returned to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine. The return took place as part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram of the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.
He said that among the returnees are three Ukrainians who have just become adults.
“Two of them had been in Russia for a long time, where they were subjected to psychological pressure, and the third young man, deprived of family support, finally left the temporarily occupied territory,” Yermak said.
The head of the OP added that another important achievement was the liberation of a family of four, in which children aged 11 and 14 were targeted for persecution because of the family's pro-Ukrainian position, as well as assistance to a 77-year-old woman who was unable to evacuate on her own.
Yermak emphasized that the stories of these Ukrainians are evidence of the terror and fear that people are forced to live with under occupation.
“The coordination of actions of the state bodies and institutions of Ukraine, active support of volunteers, NGOs and international partners made it possible to achieve this result - Ukrainians who have survived difficult trials are finally at home. I am grateful to the teams of the Office, the Ombudsman's Office and all those involved who made this return possible,” he wrote.-
At the end of the post, Andriy Yermak emphasized that all Ukrainian children should be returned home to Ukraine without exception and without any conditions.
