Russia is starting to save money on the war against Ukraine. In particular, the occupiers have increased the use of Shahed attack drones and its cheap counterparts, as well as X-69 missiles.
Anatolii Khrapchynskyi, an aviation expert and Deputy Director General of the company producing electronic warfare equipment, told RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel.
“They have the capability to launch cruise missiles, but they use Shahideen, create simulated targets to burden our air defense forces. What does this mean? That Russia is starting to save money on the war,” Khrapchynsky said.
He noted that the Russians are also actively using X-69 missiles. This suggests that Russia realizes that using strategic bombers with missiles that can fly 4,000 kilometers is an expensive resource.
“Moreover, Russia needs it in the event that there is indeed World War III, when it will need to strike the United States, Europe, and the “decision-making centers,” as they like to say. Therefore, we need to understand that Russia is trying to save money, and that is why we see an increase in Shahed-type attack drones, analogs such as Herberts, or even incomprehensible drones made of plywood,” the expert added.-
