Jun 22, 2024

South Korea is considering providing Ukraine with air defense systems and 155-mm artillery shells. The volume of arms supplies will depend on Russia's position on its relations with the DPRK.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Yonhap.

According to government sources, South Korea is considering supplying 155-mm artillery shells and air defense systems that Ukraine needs.

"There are different options for providing weapons, and our position on the latest developments between Russia and North Korea depends on how Russia will treat the situation in the future," the official said.

Yonhap notes that South Korea has previously supplied Ukraine with only non-lethal equipment for the war against Russia, in accordance with a policy that prohibits the provision of lethal weapons to countries at war.
