Slovakia is concerned that the transfer of air defense systems to Ukraine may not be enough for NATO countries.

This was stated by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Aktuality.sk.

"A few more air defense units for Ukraine means that they will not be enough for NATO member states, and Slovakia will most likely be left without effective air defense," Pellegrini said.

According to him, it is very important for Slovakia that the air defense of NATO's Eastern Wing is strengthened.

During the NATO summit, the Slovak president plans to make a presentation on the capabilities of the US and European defense industries to protect the Alliance's eastern flank with air defense.

Pellegrini also confirmed Slovakia's participation in NATO's plans to allocate €40 billion in military assistance to Ukraine over the course of the year. This will be included in the country's defense spending.
