The AFU reported on the current situation in the area of Kupyansk

Ukrainian troops destroyed 324 Russian occupiers and 37 pieces of Russian army equipment in the Limansko-Kupiansk sector over the last day.

This was reported by Volodymyr Fitio, Head of Public Relations Service of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the telethon "United News".

"Now the enemy does not stop its attempts to attack Ukrainian defenders along the entire area of responsibility of the "Khortytsia" Joint Forces Operation Center. Over the last day 13 attacks were repelled in the Lyman-Kupyansk sector. In the Kupyansk sector, 7 attacks took place near Sinkivka. The enemy is trying to reach the outskirts of this locality in order to form a foothold for an attack on the city of Kupyansk, an important logistics center through which enemy forces were supplied during the previous occupation. The enemy launched 14 air strikes, using the entire arsenal of aviation - bombers, attack aircraft, and fire support helicopters. They are using guided aerial bombs," said the spokesman.

Fitio also noted that the enemy is actively using kamikaze drones. In particular, 20 kamikaze drones were used against Ukrainian defenders in the Lyman-Kupyansk sector.

At the same time, the spokesman noted that the Defense Forces eliminated 324 Russian occupants and destroyed 37 pieces of military equipment, including 5 tanks and 4 armored personnel carriers.

Informing on the situation in the Bakhmut sector, the spokesman said that the situation there is also quite active. In this section of the frontline, 12 enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka. The enemy launched 3 air strikes and used 33 kamikaze drones.In total, 40 enemy drones and 141 occupants were destroyed in this area over the past day, said Fitio.

He also noted that despite heavy losses, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions.

"In our area of responsibility in November, the enemy lost about 11 thousand of its servicemen.The enemy is suffering extremely heavy losses, but it does not reckon with them, it is learning quickly despite the losses.In addition, more than 1,100 pieces of enemy equipment were lost or damaged. Among them are 128 tanks, 208 armored personnel carriers and 259 mortar launchers of various caliber," said the spokesman.
