The US Congress approved the transfer of frozen RF assets to Ukraine
The House of Representatives of the United States of America approved the transfer of frozen assets of the Russian Federation to Ukraine.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the broadcast of the vote in the House of Representatives.
The law on REPO was passed in the USA. Among other things, it allows the US president to hand over seized Russian assets to Ukraine.
According to Oksana Markarova, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the States, the document stipulates that no later than 90 days after its adoption, the US president must submit a report to Congress, which will indicate every individual and legal entity against which the EU and Great Britain have imposed sanctions.
The REPO law will allow Ukraine to transfer up to $8 billion of seized Russian assets.
