The winner of the US presidential election, Donald Trump, has decided to nominate Pete Hegseth as the new Secretary of Defense. He is a Fox News Channel host and veteran.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to CBS News.
“I am honored to announce that I have nominated Pete Hegseth to serve as Secretary of Defense in my cabinet,” Trump said.
He noted that Hegseth has spent “his entire life as a warrior for the troops and for the country.”
“Pete is strong, smart, and believes in 'America First,'” said Trump, who was elected the 47th president of the United States.-
The Republican added that “with Pete at the helm,” the U.S. military “will be great again,” and the United States “will never back down.”
