Ukraine and Lithuania have signed a memorandum on the joint production of drones, ammunition and electronic warfare equipment.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Facebook page of Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
According to Umerov, Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Laurinas Kasciunas arrived in Kyiv today on a visit.
“Together with our Lithuanian colleague and Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Herman Smetanin, we signed a document aimed at strengthening our defenders on the battlefield: Memorandum of Cooperation in the Defense Industry,” the Defense Minister wrote.
In particular, the Memorandum provides for the joint production of UAVs and components for them, ammunition and components, electronic warfare equipment, and the development of advanced technologies.
During the meeting, we also discussed specific ways to deepen our cooperation. The topics included plans for 2025 aimed at providing even greater military assistance to Ukraine.
Representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence provided detailed information to Lithuanian partners on the current situation at the front. The parties analyzed Russian plans for the fall and winter.
“Today, we see Russia receiving assistance from dictatorial regimes, including manpower from North Korea. But I am convinced that with such reliable partners as Lithuania, we will defeat the aggressor,” Umerov emphasized.-
