Ukraine and the Netherlands have discussed how to speed up the process of transferring F-16 fighter jets to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is what Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He noted that everything is on schedule about the transfer of F-16s. This means that the fighter jets will be in Ukrainian skies later this year, as it is necessary to make sure that there are no obstacles that could create a delay in the transfer of the planes.
"We have discussed how to speed up this process. We will ask our Defense Ministries to work with partners such as Norway, Belgium, and other F-16 coalition countries because Ukraine needs this air superiority as fast as possible," the prime minister added.
At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine expects delivery of the first part of the F-16 aircraft this year.
