The United States has provided Ukraine with $1.35 billion in non-refundable aid. The funds will be allocated to the state budget of Ukraine.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing his post on Telegram.
According to him, the U.S. government has provided funding through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and in coordination with the U.S. Treasury Department and the U.S. Department of State.
“We are directing these funds to priority humanitarian and social programs,” Shmyhal wrote.
According to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko, direct budget support from the United States since February 2022 has reached $28.2 billion.
“This is the largest financial assistance to Ukraine among all countries in the world. A reliable partnership with the United States helps the Government of Ukraine to maintain financial stability and support its citizens by providing basic public services such as education and emergency services,” he said.-
This year's budget support from the United States is envisaged in the amount of $7.8 billion, of which $5.2 billion has already been mobilized.
