Ukraine receives new satellite images from Rheinmetall and ICEYE

Since October, Ukraine has been receiving new satellite images taken by SAR satellites. This is possible thanks to the cooperation of the defense concern Rheinmetall and the satellite operator ICEYE.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of Rheinmetall.
The German defense concern reminded that it had signed a contract with Ukraine that expands its access to ICEYE's SAR satellite imagery.
“Since the beginning of October 2024, Ukraine has been receiving new satellite images taken by SAR satellites. This data will complement intelligence obtained from other sources and will become the basis for decision-making and operational planning of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Rheinmetall said.
Thus, Ukraine was able to gain access to the entire ICEYE flotilla of radar satellites.
