President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska have arrived in Washington, D.C., where the NATO summit is starting today.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to FREEDOM.
Before the summit, Zelenskyy and the first lady laid wreaths at the Holodomor monument and met with the local Ukrainian community.
According to Zelenskyy, at the NATO summit, Ukraine will work on increasing its air defense and the number of F-16 aircraft.
"We are fighting for additional security guarantees for Ukraine - these are weapons, finances, and political support. We are fighting for the necessary decisive actions of America and Europe - something that will strengthen our soldiers," Zelenskyy said.
The President reminded that everything must be done to ensure that Russian terror loses. This is necessary not only for Ukraine but for the whole world.
The NATO summit will take place in Washington from July 9 to 11. One of the main issues on the agenda will be support for Ukraine. In particular, a decision is expected to be made to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
