Zelenskyy congratulates Trump on election victory

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated White House candidate Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential election. He looks forward to discussing ways to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Twitter account of the President of Ukraine.

“Congratulations to Donald Trump on his impressive election victory!” Zelenskyy wrote and recalled a meeting with Trump in September, when they discussed the strategic partnership between the United States and Ukraine, a victory plan, and ways to end a full-scale war.

The President of Ukraine added that he appreciated the Republican's commitment to the “peace through strength” approach, which “can really bring a just peace to Ukraine.”

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is looking forward to an “era of strong US” under Trump's decisive leadership and counts on further “strong bipartisan support for Ukraine.”

“I look forward to the opportunity to personally congratulate President Trump and discuss ways to strengthen Ukraine's strategic partnership with the United States,” Zelensky said.
