On May 26, during the celebration of Georgia's Independence Day, a protest against the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” is held in Tbilisi.
This was reported by Georgia Online.
Participants of the march with the slogan “Always and everywhere, Georgia, I am with you” gathered near the Philharmonic in the capital and moved through Chavchavadze Avenue to Vake Park. They believe that the adoption of the “law on foreign agents” moves Georgia away from Europe.
The protesters symbolically unfurled the flags of Georgia and the European Union.
The demonstration is attended by students, teachers, politicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations, as well as cultural and other workers. Due to the march, traffic in the city is blocked.
