In Derbent, unknown persons with automatic weapons fired at two religious buildings, which resulted in the death of one policeman and the wounding of another.

At the same time, a street post of the Russian Highway Patrol Service was fired upon in Makhachkala, resulting in the death of one policeman and the wounding of six other law enforcement officers.

In the videos published on social networks from Derbent, it can be seen that the attackers were dressed in black and fired with automatic weapons.

The mass media write that a priest was allegedly killed in a church in Derbent.

"Father Nikolay was killed in the church in Derbent by slitting his throat. He was 66 years old, and he was very sick. The bodyguard of Nikolay in the church of Makhachkala-1 was attacked using only a gas pistol. The priests closed themselves in the church and are waiting for help," the post says.
