Russia may “pay back” North Korea for its military's participation in the war against Ukraine with nuclear weapons technology.
This was stated at the UN Security Council by South Korea's Permanent Representative Jongkook Hwang, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Ukrinform.
“For the participation of its units, North Korea will expect a generous payment from Moscow. It can be both financial and military assistance. It could also be nuclear weapons-related technologies,” Hwang said.
He suggested that Pyongyang would soon become an “active participant” in Russia's war against Ukraine.
The South Korean ambassador called on Russia to immediately withdraw all its troops from Ukraine and reminded that lasting peace in Ukraine is possible only in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.
