Blinken travels to the Middle East to promote truce in Gaza and Lebanon

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is leaving today for a visit to the Middle East. His goal is to promote a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to hostilities in Lebanon.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.

According to him, Blinken plans to visit Israel. In addition, he is scheduled to visit other countries in the region. There, he will discuss the importance of ending the war in Gaza, releasing all hostages, and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Blinken will also discuss the need to reach a diplomatic settlement of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

“The secretary will also discuss the need to reach a diplomatic solution to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah,” Miller said.
