After the Peace Summit, Moscow is trying to discredit the Peace Formula

The Russian propaganda machine has stepped up its efforts to discredit the Ukrainian Peace Formula and devalue the importance of the Peace Summit that took place in Switzerland recently.

The Center for Countering Disinformation draws attention to a number of manipulative narratives spread by hostile media.

One of the key messages of Russian propaganda is that the summit was a mere formality due to the absence of representatives of the aggressor country. In addition, they are trying to convince the audience that the participants of the Summit discussed the so-called "Putin's plan" and that Ukraine's proposals were not taken seriously. The propaganda also makes efforts to present Kyiv and its allies as supporters of escalating the war.

However, as the Center emphasizes, the reality is quite different.

"In fact, the Peace Summit is of great importance, it is the first step towards peace based on the UN Charter and the basic principles of international law. This event brought together more than 100 participants, which demonstrates the wide interest in Ukraine's peace initiative, which declares an important truth - collective efforts can stop the war and establish a just peace," the statement said.
