Attack on oil depots in Rostov region: satellite images of the fire

Radio Liberty's Schemes investigative program has published satellite images of the aftermath of the attack on oil depots in the city of Azov, Rostov region, Russia, which took place on the night of Tuesday, June 18.

According to Schemes, satellite images taken by Planet Labs at 14:30 Kyiv time show a fire on the territory of the oil depot. It is currently difficult to determine the extent of the damage to the oil depot, as puffs of smoke limit visibility, the journalists noted.

They also noted that the tank farm belongs to Azovproduct. Up to 60 thousand tons of oil products pass through this terminal per month. At the same time, the tanks can store up to 30 thousand cubic meters of oil products. According to the Schemes, they caught fire as a result of a drone attack.

On the night of June 18, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked the Azov and Azovnefteprodukt oil depots in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. This was reported to NV by informed sources. According to the sources, the tank farms have 22 fuel tanks.
