The ministry said these are command and staff exercises with the 6th Separate Mechanized Brigade to practice command and control of units during combat operations.

The maneuvers are being conducted at the Gozhsky training ground and other sites in the Hrodna region, near the border with Poland and Lithuania and the so-called Suwalki corridor, a conditional isthmus of the territory of these NATO member states between Belarus and Kaliningrad region.

"During the training, the experience of a special military operation (as the Russian Federation calls the war unleashed against Ukraine - ed.) was actively used, namely the widespread use of UAVs, a close interaction of tank and motorized rifle units with units of other branches of the armed forces," the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.

There is no mention of the participation or non-participation of members of the Wagner PMC in the maneuvers.
