U.S. President Joe Biden met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The leaders supported Ukraine in its opposition to Russian aggression.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the White House website.
It is noted that Biden and Starmer discussed a number of foreign policy issues of mutual interest. In particular, the leaders reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine, which continues to defend itself against Russian aggression.
In addition, they expressed deep concern over Iran and North Korea's provision of lethal weapons to Russia, as well as China's support for Russia's defense industry.
The U.S. President and the British Prime Minister also reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to Israel's security and the urgent need for a ceasefire agreement that would allow for the release of hostages and increased aid to the Gaza Strip.
The leaders also reaffirmed the need for Israel to do more to protect civilians and address the dire humanitarian situation in the region. And they condemned the attacks by Iranian-backed Houthis on commercial shipping in the Red Sea.
