US President Joe Biden will discuss a number of issues during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Peru on November 16. Among them will be Beijing's support for Moscow in Russia's war against Ukraine and the deployment of the DPRK military in the aggressor country.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the White House.

According to a representative of the US President's office, the leaders of the United States and China will meet at the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, which is scheduled for the day after tomorrow in Lima.

The White House has noted that this will be the third face-to-face meeting between the two heads of state since Biden took office. Previously, they met in Bali in 2022 on the sidelines of the G20 and in Woodside in 2023, also on the sidelines of the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit.

Speaking to the media about his expectations from the conversation with Xi Jinping, Biden said that he “intends to use this meeting to discuss issues where there are differences and how to deal with those differences in the future.”

“I expect the president to express deep concern about China's support for Russia's war against Ukraine, as well as the deployment of more than 10,000 DPRK troops to Russia, where they have begun to engage in combat with Russian troops,” the White House said.
