The UK and Moldova have launched a new defense and security partnership amid threats from Russia. They signed a pact to counter Russian aggression.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Guardian.
It is noted that the initiative was announced during the visit of British Foreign Secretary David Lammy to the Moldovan capital Chisinau.
The British Foreign Office noted that the pact is aimed at “building broad cooperation between the two countries and strengthening Moldova's resilience to external threats.”
“Moldova is a vital security partner for the UK, and that is why, to strengthen its resilience to Russian aggression and keep Britain's streets safe, I am deepening cooperation on illegal migration and launching a new defense and security partnership,” Lemmy said.
