Estonia proposes to take out a loan to buy ammunition

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said that a loan of 1.6 billion euros is needed to buy ammunition.
His statement is cited by ERR.
The Estonian minister added that the loan could be repaid by raising taxes.
"In my opinion, it would actually be possible to take out a loan quickly, for example, in three years, 500 million euros annually, and then repay it after a certain period, for example, within 10 years, using defense tax revenues. But the exact method of financing is determined by the Ministry of Finance," the Minister explained.
