The Ukrainian Peace Summit is important because "if we do not talk about peace, it cannot be achieved." This was emphasized by the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb.
He drew a parallel between the current situation in Ukraine and the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940.
"Many Finns are concerned. We have 1300 kilometers of border with Russia. Russia also took our territories on the eve of the Second World War," he said during his speech at the conference.
The President of Finland emphasized that Ukraine is starting the process towards peace from a position of strength, which has significantly strengthened in recent weeks. And this position is "much stronger than it was even 3 weeks ago."
