On Thursday, August 17, the German government reported on the next tranche of military aid to Ukraine over the past week, including two IRIS-T SLS launchers.
Evropeiska Pravda reported this with reference to the press service of the German government.
In addition to the IRIS-T launchers, Germany handed over 4,500 155-mm smoke shells to Ukraine.
The new package also includes 10 GO12 ground surveillance radars.
Ukraine also received four HX81 tractors, four semi-trailers, and eight forklifts.
IRIS-T SLS is a short-range air defense system. There are no transport and launch containers in the SAM system. The missile has a range of 12 km at a target height of up to 8 km.
