Germany wants to give 5 billion euros annually to help Ukraine

During a visit to Kyiv on Monday, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner announced his intention to provide Ukraine with five billion euros of military support annually until 2027.

According to Forbes Ukraine, Lindner made the announcement at a press conference with Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergiy Marchenko.

The head of the German Ministry of Finance clarified that the decision to allocate 5 billion euros for military support to Ukraine has yet to be approved by the German parliament.

He added that Berlin also provides humanitarian aid to Kyiv, supports Ukrainian internally displaced persons, and pays contributions to the International Monetary Fund, which also supports the Ukrainian economy.
