The Russian army is not yet forming a powerful group to attack Kharkiv, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces are strengthening defensive lines near the city. Ilya Yevlash, head of the press service of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, said this on the air of a national telethon.
"In fact, we are not noticing any powerful formations or offensive groups. Yes, there may be some local reinforcements, but they have no chance of going and having any success, because Kharkiv demonstrated at the beginning of the full-scale invasion that it is a Ukrainian city," said Ilya Yevlash, head of the press service of the Khortytsia unit, during the telethon.
He also added that in the event of an offensive, Russia would have no chance of successfully implementing its plans: "The enemy will have no chance in this direction. Our Defense Forces are ready for any development of events, and any movement of the occupiers, even along the front line, is constantly monitored."
Meanwhile, the Russian occupiers have made significant advances in the Kupyansk (Svatove) direction in the area of the occupied villages of Orlyanka (Orlyanske) and Yahidne east of Kupyansk. This was reported by several sources.
