All-round assistance to Ukraine is in the interests of the United States of America because we oppose the Russian dictatorship, which also attacks other authoritarian regimes, such as China or the DPRK.

This was stated by the leader of the Republicans in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the Voice of America.

He noted that the USA stands against China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran, which already speaks of the correctness of supporting Ukraine, which is fighting one of these regimes. In addition, McConnell noted that the share of GDP allocated to help Ukraine is small for such efforts.

"If Putin wins, a NATO country will be next. And I think it's much smarter to stop this invasion, push it out, and the only ones who are willing to participate in this are the Ukrainians themselves," McConnell said.

Also, the transfer of weapons to Ukraine is beneficial for the development of the US industrial base and the creation of jobs there.

"We should restore our industrial base even without the war in Ukraine due to the growing competition from Russia and China," the senator noted.

In addition, Ukrainian resistance, supported by allies, also contributes to peace in the Far East, McConnell said.

"Some Americans say it's far from the Far East, and that's where our real worries are. But the Japanese prime minister said if you want to send a message to President Xi, hit Putin in Ukraine. The South Koreans are worried, the Filipinos are worried, Australians are concerned. So this really has a huge impact on Asia and the future of Taiwan," the senator concluded.
