"It would be better to temporarily suspend diplomatic relations with Finland and the like (like Poland, the Baltic states and, of course, Britain) or at least reduce their level for a while."

Medvedev also said that the results of the total confrontation between Russia and the West should be enshrined in a new document like the Helsinki Act.

In the article, in his traditional manner, he tries to convince readers that Russia's war against Ukraine is allegedly a "total confrontation between the conditional collective West and the rest of the world" that will last for decades. Medvedev again scares that this confrontation has put the world on the brink of World War III, which will bring nuclear winter, epidemics, and famine to the Earth.

Medvedev also claims that Russia's goal is to "eliminate the threat of Ukraine's membership in NATO," and it will allegedly achieve it.

"If the conflicting countries are not accepted into NATO, it means that the conflict will be permanent because it is a matter of Russia's existence," he also scares.

In his article, Medvedev talks about some "reasonable compromises" that Russia is supposedly ready for, but then immediately makes the overthrow of the legitimate Ukrainian government a condition for the legislative ban on a certain "Kyiv Nazi regime" in Europe and threatens that "the West will have to accept this if it does not want an apocalyptic end to our imperfect civilization."
