Mobilization in Russia Indicates Kremlin Panic

Sep 21, 2022

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that the order of partial mobilization in Russia is a sign of panic in the Kremlin, which should not be taken as a direct threat of full-scale war with the West.

Mark Rutte is quoted by NOS as saying.

"You see that Ukraine is beginning to successfully act against Russia with the support of the West. There is a kind of panic reaction," Mark Rutte noted.

Rutte also reacted succinctly to Russia's threat to use nuclear weapons.

"It leaves us Siberian-style cold, to put it in Russian," he said.

Rutte stressed that parts of Ukrainian territory the size of Hungary are still occupied by the Russians.

"This, of course, is not the end. We must remain sharp, we must continue to support Ukraine," the Dutch head of government stressed.
