Night attack on Kyiv: 3 people, including a child, killed by debris

In Kyiv, an air attack on the night of June 1 left dead and wounded in the Desnianskyi district of the capital, where the debris of downed enemy targets damaged a medical clinic and a residential building. There is a child among the victims.

This is reported with reference to the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, and the Kyiv City Military Administration.

At the moment, it is known about three dead and 10 wounded.

"In total: 3 dead, including 1 child (born in 2012) and 10 injured, including 1 child. The information is being clarified," the administration said.

On the night of June 1, an air alert was declared in Kyiv and a number of regions. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the enemy used missiles to attack.

Air defense systems were deployed in the region, and a series of explosions were heard in the capital, while local authorities reported that debris fell in two districts of Kyiv.

Later, the city administration reported that Russia had probably used cruise and ballistic missiles in the attack, all of which were shot down.

The administration reported that a medical clinic was damaged by debris in the Desnianskyi district of the capital.

"There was no fire. The nearby house was also damaged by shrapnel - the explosion smashed the windows. There is no fire. Information about the victims is being clarified," the statement said.

According to the mayor, rescuers extinguished the fire in Desnianskyi and Dniprovskyi districts as a result of debris falling on the roadways.
