Norway to provide Ukraine with $52 million worth of mortar ammunition

Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram said that his country will provide Ukraine with mortar ammunition worth 480 million Norwegian kroner (approximately $52 million).

"Ukraine has a great need for all types of ammunition, and it has specifically asked for what we are now transferring," the defense minister emphasized.

According to the newspaper, Norway has also recently handed over hand grenades worth about NOK 50 million ($5.5 million) and sniper ammunition worth NOK 3 million (almost $285,000) to Ukraine.

"There is a great need, and we are trying to help in the difficult battle for Ukraine," added Bjørn Arild Gram.

On June 12, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that it is allocating 240 million euros to Ukraine for air defense measures.
