Details: Satellite images and aviation data suggest that Russia may be preparing to test (or has already tested) an experimental nuclear-powered cruise missile. Its theoretical range is thousands of miles.
Journalists have studied satellite images and aviation data and have spotted aircraft and vehicles moving around the Rogachevo airfield in the Arctic region of Russia.
This may indicate preparations for the Burevestnik or SSC-X-9 Skyfall missile tests, which have already been tested in 2017 and 2018.
Over the past two weeks, US surveillance aircraft have also been tracked in the area, and air traffic warnings have warned pilots to avoid the surrounding airspace.
