In the urban-type settlement of Yakymivka in the Melitopol district of the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian occupiers turned the "Lastochka" preschool, located at 145 Tsentralna Street, into a military base. They deployed armored personnel carriers and other equipment here and stationed military personnel in groups.

This is stated in the message of the Telegram channel "RIA-Melitopol" with reference to the testimony of local residents.

"Apparently, it's not very comfortable for them to sleep on cots, so there are about 30 people living in the kindergarten now. Other orcs seized the nearby houses of local residents who had left and settled in with great comfort. The practice of using civilian facilities as barracks and military bases has been used by the occupiers since the first days of the war. In Melitopol, they also use schools, kindergartens, and dormitories for military purposes," the statement said.

In this way, the racists are trying to protect their personnel and material base. After hits from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russians raise howls about the shelling of "peaceful objects." But for some reason, they take out the corpses of people in uniform and burnt-out equipment.
