This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Politico.

The new star of the Hungarian opposition, Peter Magyar, said he did not support sending weapons to Ukraine.

"We share the position of the Budapest government. We will not send troops or weapons to Ukraine from Hungary. You know the sensitive situation of Hungary in this war," Magyar said.

At the same time, Magyar was elected to the European Parliament and joined the European People's Party group. However, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, ruled that the condition for accepting new MEPs into the EPP was their support for Ukraine.

Therefore, Magyar said that Ukraine should be supported by all other instruments. He also supported Ukraine's right to self-defense and called Putin an aggressor.
