Orban to run for Romanian presidency

Former Romanian Prime Minister and leader of the Forța Dreptei (‘Power of the Right’) party, Ludovic Orban, has announced his intention to run in the presidential election.
This was reported by News.ro.
During a speech in parliament, Orban announced the merger of his party with the People's Movement Party led by János Tomák.
‘I have decided to run for president because I consider it my moral duty to Romanian citizens and a gesture of responsibility for the future of Romania,’ the Right Forces leader said, recalling his 30 years of political experience.
Orban added that he wants his candidacy ‘to be a message of confidence and hope in the future of our country and in the ability of every Romanian to succeed in life’.
