Putin can't win the war, but he doesn't know how to get out of it

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin cannot win the war against Ukraine, but neither can he find a way out of it.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to British Defense Minister Grant Shapps, who is quoted by the BBC.
According to Shapps, Putin hoped to take Kyiv by "bluffing", but the Ukrainian people will not allow this to happen.
"And we will not allow either... We must not back down," he said.
The Minister of Defense noted that the war is consuming weapons and people "at a terrible rate," but "we must remain steadfast."
Shapps also called Ukraine "part of the family of European democratic nations."
