Republican leader: delay in aid prolongs war in Ukraine

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said that the delay in helping Ukraine has only prolonged the war.

He emphasized that Ukrainians on the battlefield do not need doubts, but need tools to protect themselves, to increase the cost of aggression for the aggressor and to create conditions for a conversation from a position of strength.
Straight talk: "Slow assistance to Ukraine has not deterred Russia from escalating, it has only guaranteed that this terrible conflict will last longer and be bloodier.
Delaying further assistance will weaken Ukraine and risk encouraging every tyrant that Western countries want to defeat."
The security of the free world will either be strengthened by the victory of our friends or weakened by their defeat."
