Russia has started using decoy drones in its attacks on Ukraine. They imitate the Shaheda.
This was stated by the interim acting head of the Communications Department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat, RBC-Ukraine reports citing CNN.
According to the publication, in addition to a sharp increase in the number of strikes, Russia has begun using decoy drones to overcome Ukraine's air defense.
“Decoy drones carry a 3D-printed ball wrapped in foil. It imitates the warhead of an Iranian Shahed-136 drone,” said Ihnat.
According to him, these cheaper drones mislead Ukrainian air defense, which can shoot down decoy drones instead of those carrying a deadly warhead.
“Decoy drones now account for almost half of all Russian drones fired at Ukraine,” the military said.-
