Russia sends equipment for NPP construction to China

A shipment of equipment for the construction of a nuclear power plant has left the Russian Federation for China.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Xinhua.
"On Tuesday, the shipment of key equipment for the third power unit of the Xuidapu NPP, one of the largest energy cooperation projects between China and the Russian Federation, began from Volgodonsk in the Rostov region," the report says.
It is noted that the nuclear reactor containment and four steam generators manufactured in Volgodonsk were sent to China.
The total weight of the cargo is 1700 tons. It will first be delivered by barge to the port of St. Petersburg, and from there to its destination in China.
