Russia warned the United States of America about a strike on Ukraine shortly before the launch of the Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Sky News and a statement by Deputy Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh during a briefing.
According to the American official, the United States was notified by Russia shortly before the strike by a medium-range ballistic missile on the city of Dnipro.
“The United States was briefly notified before the launch through
nuclear risk reduction channels,” he said.
This information was confirmed by the Pentagon.
It is worth noting that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian media that Russia had not warned anyone because “there are no such obligations.” However, he later changed his position.
“30 minutes before the launch of Oreshnik, Russia sent an automatic message to the United States through the Center for Nuclear Threat Reduction,” he said.-
