Russian Black Sea Fleet ships are avoiding entering the Black Sea due to changes in tactics and weather conditions. Therefore, the enemy relies on aviation.
This was stated by Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the We Are Ukraine TV channel.
“There is a change in weather conditions, and an important role is played by the fact that they have assigned a large number of functions of their ship and boat fleet to aviation,” Pletenchuk said.
He clarified that Russian aviation is active not only in the Black Sea but also in the Sea of Azov, striking at Ukrainian positions.
The captain also emphasized that Ukraine is constantly informing its partners about the presence of Russian aircraft in the region.
“We are fighting this problem, the Navy is also involved in air defense when it comes to shooting down drones. The water area that we liberated remains a “gray zone” because of aviation, and Russians use the airspace to launch strikes,” he explained.-
