This was announced by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk during a briefing.

According to him, a Russian strike group is operating in the Sea of Azov, which is more numerous than the one deployed in the Black Sea. This grouping includes at least six ships, three of which are carriers of Buyan-M cruise missiles, and three large landing ships.

"Given the nature of their actions and the composition of the group, we can conclude that this is a training process," noted the Ukrainian Navy spokesman.

He also added that due to the shallowness and restrictions of the recommended routes in the Sea of Azov, the Russians are in the same location as civilian vessels, using them as a "shield."
