South Korea will provide Ukraine with two K600 Rhino minefield breaching vehicles.

"The government has decided recently to send two minesweepers to Ukraine as soon as possible in addition to an earlier shipment of old mine detectors. This follows an urgent request and President Yoon Suk-yeol's promise to support Ukraine," the Korean government said.

It should be noted that Rhino is a mine-clearing minesweeper that can clear rear areas or clear paths through a minefield on the front line.

At the same time, the Korean government will ask Ukraine to use these vehicles only for humanitarian operations.

As a reminder, during a bilateral meeting at the G7 Summit in Hiroshima in May, South Korean President Yun Suk-yol promised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to send non-lethal equipment and assist in post-war reconstruction.

In June 2023, Yun visited Ukraine. He met with Zelensky and promised to provide a package of assistance to our country.

Recently, Yun Suk-yol said that South Korea would provide $2.3 billion in aid to Ukraine, with the funds going to the development of innovative economic projects.
