Direct speech: "We need closer cooperation with our partners. Part of this is Ukraine. We are increasing our cooperation with Ukraine. Now we as NATO are taking a leading role in security and training. We will have a command in Germany, with 700 people, and in some centers in the eastern part of the Alliance. We are also doing this to help not only support, but also to jointly invest and develop projects, to increase Ukraine's ability to produce weapons and ammunition on its own."

According to the NATO chief, the reality of the war in Ukraine has shown not only that stockpiles and production capabilities were too small, but also that there were huge gaps in interoperability between the forces.
