Stoltenberg said this at a press conference in Sofia on Monday, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.

Stoltenberg said that NATO does not want a conflict with Russia, and the fact that the Alliance supports Ukraine does not make NATO or its allies part of the conflict.

“We have no plans to deploy NATO troops in Ukraine or send air forces into Ukrainian airspace, but we are providing critical assistance to Ukraine so that they can defend themselves,” the secretary general said.
