North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reaffirmed Ukraine's right to self-defense, including the destruction of military targets in Russia. First of all, it concerns the installations used by the enemy to shell peaceful towns and villages in the Kharkiv region.

"Ukraine has the right to self-defense. This right includes the ability to destroy military targets on the territory of Russia," he said.

Stoltenberg noted that NATO countries have provided 99% of military assistance to Ukraine, although there are still certain restrictions on the use of these weapons. However, due to the Russian offensive in the Kharkiv region, the Alliance plans to ease these restrictions in the near future.

"The Russians are attacking from their own territory, and Ukraine has the right to destroy the missile launchers used to fire on Kharkiv. Restrictions are gradually being lifted, and this will help Ukrainians defend themselves," the NATO Secretary General emphasized.

At the same time, Stoltenberg reiterated that the Alliance will not send its military to Ukraine, as the Alliance is not a party to the conflict. Instead, NATO member states agreed to train the Ukrainian military.
