It was 21-year-old National Guardsman Jack Teixeira, who was in charge of the private Internet group Thug Shaker Central. This was reported by CNN journalist Natalia Bertrand.

It is noted that FBI officers searched his mother's house.

The guy is suspected of leaking classified documents from the Pentagon containing information about the war in Ukraine and the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Voice of America journalist Jeff Seldin, the Pentagon believes that the documents were posted online on purpose.

The New York Times reported that National Guard officer Jack Teixeira ran a private online group called Thug Shaker Central, which unites about 20-30 people through a common devotion to guns, racist online memes, and video games.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed Teixeira's detention and said he would face federal charges.

The US Department of Defense is still assessing the extent of the leak of classified information in recent weeks, which included information about the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the actions of US allies.

This was stated at a briefing on Monday by Pentagon Assistant Secretary Chris Meagher, according to CNN and Bloomberg.

According to Meagher, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was first informed of the "leak" on April 6, and the next day began "convening senior leaders on a daily basis."
