Taiwan will conduct military exercises amid threats from China

Taiwan will hold its annual five-day military drills at the end of July, which this year will be as close as possible to actual combat conditions to prepare the army for potential threats from China.
This is reported by Reuters.
A high-ranking Taiwanese official noted that this year's training will not be a "show" but will be as realistic as possible.
"The threat from the enemy is changing rapidly. Our defense plans must be reviewed regularly, and the importance of comprehensive combat training is growing," he noted.
One of the innovations of this year's exercises will be night training as well as participation in exercises in the capital of Taiwan - the city of Taipei.
